KRIPPE & KINDERGARTEN

Münster Handorf

At our day care centre in Münster Willingrott, openness and acceptance are our top priorities. We welcome children with and without disabilities. Our experienced inclusion specialists offer dedicated support for children with disabilities to help them with their daily educational routine.

In our beautifully furnished rooms, children will find plenty of space for creative design, boisterous play, experimentation, reading, resting, cuddling and much more. Our age-appropriate rooms provide children with support, security and orientation. In addition to their regular group rooms, the children can decide for themselves where they would like to play. Large, floor-to-ceiling windows provide a bright, friendly, feel-good atmosphere.

Our outdoor space includes fine playing sand, a messy sand and water area, a nest swing and two climbing towers with slides, all designed to encourage the children to play freely. The children can train their motor skills by climbing and balancing on wooden beams. In future, we plan to work with the children on creating a sensory raised bed with wildflowers, herbs and vegetables in a long section of the garden.

Educational concept

Every child is an individual with their own personal strengths and abilities. We adapt our approach depending on each child’s developmental stage, offering personalised support to help them mature into independent, self-sufficient individuals. Our pedagogical work prioritises movement, independence, participation, the joy of experimentation, and children's language and mathematical learning. We go on regular local trips to explore our natural surroundings.

Since the summer of 2020, we have been a certified PlusKita and are we pleased to have support from our specialist staff. These staff take special care of children who have limited or no knowledge of German. Our experienced inclusion specialists offer dedicated assistance for children with disabilities as part of their everyday educational routine, helping integrate them into the groups and providing targeted support.

Thanks to our recent certification as a literary daycare centre in 2024, we can expand our language development to include literary pedagogical aspects and suggestions. This opens up numerous advantages for the holistic development of our children: it enables us to recognise and promote an understanding of language and communication as a valuable asset. The children can immerse themselves in the world of books, stimulate their imagination and deepen their interest in literature. It also strengthens their social skills and their ability to process emotions.
By including books in our daycare centre, we create additional islands of calm in everyday life and offer the children stimuli for conversations in order to exchange ideas and convey values. Another positive aspect is the mirroring function, where children have the opportunity to compare themselves with others. We can also contribute to equal education and opportunities through our literary education and teach the children how to use books responsibly.
Reading aloud is also an important part of language development and reading socialisation. Furthermore, books offer access to knowledge, but they also open up social or moral questions and thus invite children to reflect. Through our work with picture and read-aloud books, we can also make an important contribution to the widest possible reading socialisation and thus also ensure more equal opportunities.
The close link between literary pedagogical work and language support enables us to support the children's language development in an even more targeted way and to accompany their individual abilities.

We regard parents as equal partners. Parents are the experts when it comes to their child, which is why it is so important for us to foster a trusting and collaborative partnership. An effective educational partnership requires mutual understanding and appreciation.
